Teacher application guide
This page covers every section of the application form and what happens after you submit. Keep it open while you apply. Write in complete sentences; you can refine details later with the team if needed.
How the process works
Applying creates a teacher account that stays pending until our team reviews it.
1. Create your account
Enter your email and password first. This opens step 2 of the application form.
2. Complete your teacher profile
Add name, phone, subject, photo, intro video link, and the three profile text sections.
3. Verify your email
After submit, confirm your email with the link or code we send. Until verification is done, the application cannot move forward.
4. Team review and outcome
We review your photo, video, and profile text for clarity, fit, and platform rules. If approved, you can continue into the teacher experience. If declined, the account and related data may be removed under platform policy.
Account and contact details
These fields create your login and help us reach you about the application. They are not the marketing copy on your public card.
Full name
Use your real name. Students and the team should recognize who they are speaking with.
Use an inbox you check often. You must verify this email after submitting. One email can only be used once on the platform.
Phone number
Add a reachable mobile number with the correct country code. Used for account and application follow-up, not shown as a public booking contact in your bio.
Password
At least 8 characters. You will use this email and password to sign in after verification.
Terms and privacy
You must accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy before you can submit.
Subject, country, experience, languages
These fields shape how students find and understand you in the directory.
Teaching subject
Choose the main language you teach on Beyan: Arabic, Turkish, or English. Pick the subject you will actually open lessons for.
Country
Select the country you are based in. This appears on your public profile and helps students understand timezone and background context.
Years of experience
Optional number of years teaching. If you set it, it can appear on your public profile. Prefer an honest figure over a rounded-up claim.
Languages you speak
Add every language you can teach or communicate in, with a level (Native through Beginner / CEFR). At least one language row is expected. This helps matching and trust.
Profile photo
Upload a clear, recent photo where your face is visible. After you choose a file, you can crop it to a square before upload.
- Good front lighting and a simple background.
- JPG or PNG only. Max 5 MB. SVG is not supported.
- No logo-only images, group photos, heavy filters, or sunglasses that hide your face.
Teacher headline
One short line that states which language you teach and your angle, for example structured lessons, speaking practice, exam prep, or professional use. This is the first line students see on your card.
Example: Structured Arabic lessons for clearer speaking and steady progress.
Do not use your full legal name like a CV header unless you want that exact wording public.
Intro video
A short intro video is required. Record in a quiet place with clear front lighting. Keep the camera steady at eye level so your face is easy to see. Cover who you are, how you teach, who you help, and how a lesson typically runs.
Host the video on YouTube or Vimeo and paste a valid public link into the form.
Ideal length: 60 to 180 seconds. Never longer than 3 minutes.
Profile text sections
Three required writing blocks become part of your public profile. Write for students, not like a formal CV paste.
Introduce yourself
Who you are, why you teach, and a little about your style or interests. Friendly complete sentences work better than bullet lists.
Teaching experience
Years online or in person, certificates, methods, specialties, and the learner groups you work with (levels, ages, goals).
Why students should book with you
Explain the value of learning with you: clear plan, feedback, real communication practice, and the outcomes you aim for.
Profile visibility tips
The form shows a visibility score for your combined public text. Stronger copy helps more students find you.
- Add concrete detail: levels, methods, learner types, and outcomes. Not only general adjectives.
- Aim for enough length to be useful, but keep the text scannable and focused.
- Remove personal contact details, off-platform links, free-trial promises, and discount language. They weaken trust and can lower the score.
What to avoid
- No free-trial or discount promises in your photo, video, or text.
- No personal phone, email, WhatsApp, or social handles in public profile fields.
- Do not push students to book or pay outside Beyan.
- Do not overstate certificates, years of experience, or languages you cannot teach.
After you submit
Submitting creates your teacher account in a pending state.
- Verify your email first (link or code in your inbox; check spam if needed).
- Then our team reviews your application. Response time depends on volume; complete, clear profiles are easier to approve.
- You will either be approved to continue as a teacher, or declined. Declined applications may be removed with related data according to platform policies.
